This year’s Iron Bowl, being an odd-numbered year, will be played in Auburn, Alabama, and while it may not be on the NCAA football schedule until November, it doesn’t mean that the game isn’t on the mind of sports fans.
Anyone who watches college football knows that the University of Alabama is the team to beat. You either love the Tide or hate them and if you are an Auburn Tiger fan, then you most definitely hate them. Every year, the Iron Bowl is a huge event in the south, especially within the state of Alabama, and one casino in Las Vegas has already come out with an early point spread on the game.
The South Point Casino located in Las Vegas has Alabama as the favorite with a 3.5 point spread when the two teams go head to head on November 25th. This year’s game will take place at Jordan-Hare Stadium, which is the home turf of Auburn, which many feel will give the Tigers an advantage. However, the Tide is on a roll and have won the last three Iron Bowls, winning 30-12 last year, 29-13 in 2015 and 55-44 in 2014.
Early odds were released on Monday and the Iron Bowl is one of 65 college football games 7BALL that the casino covers. South Point has a $1,000 max betting limit on the college football games. The football season is still a few months away but sports bettors can already be saving up and making their picks for the upcoming 2017-2018 NCAA season, with of course, the Tide picked as a tough competitor for the new season.
